The front entrance is 105cm wide with one 10cm high step.
We have a pair of 15cm wide telescopic ramps that can be placed to accomodate wheeled mobility aids of any width. They are weight rated for 270kg.
The downstairs tattooing area has 4 stations. The furniture in all stations is collapsable, so there is plenty of space for manoeuvring.
There is seating available in the waiting area.
All floors are timber laminate.
Some of our artists work upstairs, so please let us know in your appointment form if you have accessibility requirements. We can ensure the requested artist is working at a suitable station on the day of your appointment.
Bathroom
Our bathroom is not wheelchair accessible.
The Doutta Galla Hotel is 20 metres from Crucible Tattoo Co. You are welcome to use their wheelchair accessible bathroom, however there is a step at the entrance of their venue. A Crucible staff member will be able to assist with setting up the ramps and holding the door for you.
Alternatively, there is a fully wheelchair accessible Exeloo public bathroom 100 metres from the studio.
Tattooing Furniture
We have privacy screens available. If you’d like your artist to set up a privacy screen during your tattoo please don’t hesitate to ask.
Our folding chairs are user weight rated for a maximum of 150kg.
Our standard tattooing beds are user weight rated for a maximum of 230kg. We have a wider bed with a user weight rating of 250kg which can be utilised at client request. The height of the beds can be adjusted from a minimum of 60cm tall to a maximum of 80cm tall.
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you feel our current tattooing furniture will not accommodate you. We can make arrangements to source something suitable.
Scents
We occasionally burn incense in the studio, and mop our floors with Eucalyptus Oil every morning.
We use a scent-free product called Viraclean to disinfect all surfaces, but may use Dettol for cleaning skin before applying tattoo stencils.
Sounds
We play music in the studio. Each room has its own speaker which can be turned off at client request.
The majority of our rooms are shared, so there is likely to be conversational noise and the drone of tattoo machines.
Feel free to bring ear-plugs or noise-cancelling headphones.
If you would like to be tattooed in a private room, please advise your artist when filling in the appointment form.
Allergies
By default we use latex gloves, but your artist can wear nitrile gloves if requested.
Please advise if you have any reaction to adhesives. This will influence the aftercare method your artist will use.
We may also use witch hazel and aloe vera during the tattoo process, however the process can be adjusted if required.
